PART-TIME FIELD GUIDE
The Part-time Field Guiding Course is run over three Phases and can be completed at the students own pace and time…
PHASE 1: Self Study, Workbook & Assignments (No Time Limit)
After successful registration students are required to familiarize themselves with the course contents by working through each module in the Course Manual, completing the workbook and self study (research) assignments. Once the workbook and assignments are completed and up to date, the student may apply to attend Phase 2 of the course.
PHASE 2: FGASA Theory INDABA (21 Days)
The THEORY INDABA brings part-time students together for two weeks every second month at the AFRICAN BUSH TRAINING camp in Ohrigstad to attend lectures on all the modules prescribed by FGASA for the Nature Guiding (FGASA) Level 1 qualification. On completion of the theoretical component of the course students are required to write the FGASA National Exam Sitting at the venue of their choice across the country.
PHASE 3: FGASA Practical PREP Week (7 Days)
During the 7-day PRACTICAL PREP WEEK our FGASA training instructors will equip you with all the necessary skills, additional knowledge and confidence you need to not only pass your assessment, but fly through it. The Formal assessment will then be carried out on the last day of this phase.
