The ABT KRUGER WILDERNESS CAMP is located in the heart of the world famous Kruger National Park towards the Western boundary on the Parson’s Game Reserve between Phalaborwa and Hoedspruit.

The ABT KRUGER WILDERNESS CAMP is ideally located in the animal rich Greater Kruger National Park featuring Africa’s BIG 5 - Lion, Leopard, Buffalo, Rhino and Elephant.

This rustic bush camp offers students the opportunity to ‘merge’ with nature and experience Africa’s Big 5 at their doorstep.

From this base-camp ABT students participate in daily game drives and walks venturing deep into the heart of the Kruger Park.

Facilities at our wilderness camp includes a rustic student tented village with a bush kitchen and ablution block complete with an open-air showering option.

The main building features a state-of-the-art lecture room, bush library, research room, splash pool, boma, fully equipped kitchen and dining area where meals are served in the evenings overlooking the camp’s busy waterhole.

The camp is unfenced allowing animals and students the unique opportunity to live in harmony with frequent visits of lion, leopard, buffalo, elephant and hyena in and around camp.

MALARIA: Note that this camp is located in a low-risk malaria area so it is advised that students take the neccesary precautions…

ABT offers a daily shuttle service running from OR Thambo Airport in Johannesburg to Three-bridges (Just outside Hoedspruit) from where we will pick you up and transport you to the campus.

Alternatively, you can fly in on a domestic flight from Johannesburg to either Phalaborwa Airport (Phalaborwa) or Eastgate Airport (Hoedspruit).
